Alkupisteen koordinaatit johdattavat paikkaan jota ei ihan joka päivä metsässä näe. Piste on todella nimensä veroinen ja suorastaan kerjää kätköilijöitä vierailemaan luonaan. Alkupisteellä saat laskemalla selville asioita joita tarvitset itse kätköllä, joten hyvä muisti tai kynä ja paperi ovat suositeltavia välineitä mukaanotettavaksi. Myöskin kääpiökokoiset matkaseuralaiset ovat usein hyviä muistamaan tällaisia asioita joten kääpiöitäkin on hyvä pitää tällä kätköllä mukana, mikäli sellaisia mukaan löytyy. Loppupisteelle ei siis kannata mennä suoraan vaikka sen koordinaatit ovatkin näkyvillä.
Laske seuraavat asiat:
1. Metsän kuningas, jota myös metsän jumalaksi on sanottu, on iät ja ajat hallinnut metsää varmoin ottein. Mikä on tämän vanhoista tarustoista löytyvän metsän kuninkaan nimi? (Laske nimen kirjainten lukumäärä)
2. Kuinka monta valtaistuinta, rikkinäistä tai ehjää, löytyy valtaistuinsalista?
3. Valtaistuinsalin katolla ovat sisarukset rivissä vartioimassa. Kuinka monta sisarusta rivissä seisoo? (Laske vain selvästi rivissä seisovat, ei ympäröiviä)
4. Kuinka monta ulostuloaukkoa valtaistuinsalista on?
Lopputulokseksi saat numerosarjan jota tarvitset kätköllä.
Parkkipaikkoja on lähistöllä runsaanlaisesti tien varressa. Ehdotetulta parkkipaikalta lähtee suoraan polku kohti metsää. Tämä polku ei vie perille mutta sitä kautta pääsee kiipeämään kallioiden päälle. Perille ei ole polkua, mutta maasto on perus metsää eli helpohkoa kulkea. Kääpiöseuralaisten kanssa saattaa olla hyväksi valita reitti joka ei vie suoraan tieltä ylös seinämää, vaan ottaa hieman pidempi kiertoreitti. Sellainen löytyy esimerkiksi mutkan takaa ehdotetulta parkkipaikalta. Nousu on sitä kautta huomattavasti loivempi, joskin matka perille hieman pidempi.
FTF:lle luvassa pieni yllätyspussukka, samoin STF:lle. Nämä merkitty selvästi. Kätköstä löytyy lokivihko, pari kynää, vaihdettavia esineitä ja kätkötiedote.
Suosittelen noudattamaan varovaisuutta kätköllä, jotta kätkössä olevat tavarat eivät leviäisi maastoon.
Forest king's throne room
The starting point will lead you to a place you won't see every day in the woods. The place really is owning up to its name and almost begs cachers to visit. On the starting point you have to count things you'll need for the cache itself so a good memory or a pen and paper are recommended. Also, midget sized company is usually pretty good at remembering this kind of stuff so it might be good to have a midget or two with you if you have them available. So, you shouldn't rush to the cache. You really need to visit the first point.
Count these things:
1. King of the forest that is also being referred as the forest god, has ruled the forests for ages with firm grip. What is the name of this forest king that you can find in old Finnish folklores? (count the number of letters)
2. How many thrones are there, broken or intact, in the throne room?
3. There are siblings in a row on the roof guarding the place. How many siblings are there in that row? (Count the ones that are clearly in line, not the ones that surround it)
4. How many exits are there leading out of the throne room?
You will have a series of numbers you will need on the cache.
There are plenty of parking space by the side of the road. From the recommended parking space leads a path towards the woods. This path won't take you directly to the throne room but from there you can get up the hill and to the forest. Terrain is basic forest so it is pretty easy to walk there. If you have midgets with you it might be better to choose a route that won't go straight up the wall. If you walk a little from the parking place, there is an easier path that is a lot better for the little feet. Naturally the walking part is a bit longer if you choose this route.
There is a little surprise bag for the FTF, as there is for the STF too. These are marked clearly on the spot. In the cache there are the log book, couple of pens, small things you can change for yourself and a cache information sheet.
I recommend caution on the cache so things inside the cache won't spread everywhere.
