All Anglican churches in the borough of Eastbourne are part of the Diocese of Chichester, whose cathedral is at Chichester in West Sussex. The Rural Deanery of Eastbourne—one of eight deaneries in the Archdeaconry of Lewes and Hastings, which is in turn one of three archdeaconries in the diocese—covers the whole borough and parts of neighbouring districts.
Since 1956, the Anglican community in the Langney estate has been served by H. Hubbard Ford and Hugh Wilson's brick hall-style church with later extensions. There are some Stained glass windows and the foundation stone was made of rubble from the demolished St Anne's Church Formerly in the parish of St Andrew. There were temporary arrangements for services here from 1953. In 1956-58 H Ford designed a low, brick church with a steep roof, of which the main timbers are laminated and rise from the ground. Most windows are small and rectangular and the interior is all white with simply a shallow recess for the altar. There is also an attached hall on the south side. The church was extended with south (1977) and north (1986) aisles by J D Clarke and Partners; they also added the lower western narthex in 1994.
