Geocache Description:

PLEASE READ & NOTE: If you are planning to visit this cache from the Holne Hike 09 - Steep Descent cache the path down to the river from that cache is is very steep and difficult and I would rate it as T4. It is NOT suitable for small children and older children MUST be supervised.

Sharrah Pool is one of the most famous wild swimming locations on Dartmoor. It is situated in a beautiful spot approximately 2 miles upstream from New Bridge on the River Dart and can only be reached on foot along a fairly level path. A shorter, but far steeper route is possible from Venford Reservoir.

I would like to thank the Dartmoor National Park Authority for their kind permission to place this cache, which has been placed according to the geocaching guidelines.
