A scientific chemist is in deep trouble when he or she dabbles in alchemy. Such pursuits are generally frowned upon by more mainstream scientists. Celeste was outwardly just such a scientist - a nuclear chemist, dedicated to discovering new elements. In her spare time, though, she spent time in her garage, probing ancient tomes full of alchemical knowledge. Inevitably, she found formulae with mystical properties.
She was found dead in her garage one rainy Sunday morning.
Clutched in her hand was a piece of paper with strange chemical combinations written on it. Some were repeated. Were those steps she had taken toward some unimaginable goal? Did they hold clues to some hitherto-undiscovered natural processes?
Investigators now believe that the formulae on the paper were actually intended as clues leading to a hiding place for her true discoveries. They have made no progress in decoding them, however, and are asking for the public's help.
