La rampe du lieu dit Le Clapet a été construite vers 1855 lors de la réalisation de la route Matignon-Erquy. Le pont de la digue a dû être bouché au moyen d’un clapet. Ce dernier permet de laisser s’évacuer les eaux venant de l’amont et d’empêcher les eaux de la mer d’y pénétrer.
Prudence lors de l’accès à cette cache, notamment à marée haute et lors des forts coefficients de marée. Ne prenez pas de risques.
The ramp of the locality Le Clapet was built around 1855 during the realization of the Matignon Erquy road. The bridge of the dam had to be blocked by a valve. This allows to leave to drain the water coming from upstream and prevent sea waters from entering.
Caution when accessing this cache, especially at high tide and during strong tidal coefficients. Do not take risks.
