Elliant - Calvaire de Rohantic Traditional Geocache

Le calvaire du Rohantic, sur la route entre les bourg d'Ergué Gabéric et d'Elliant, date du XVIème siècle.

La base inhabituelle pourrait avoir auparavant servi d'oratoire. Le site "Croix et calvaires du Finistère" le décrit comme ayant : une base architecturée avec des murs latéraux et un pilier, sur un socle carré. Le fût est à pans, avec un noeud et un crucifix.

The Rohantic calvary can be seen on the road between Ergué Gabéricand Elliant. It dates back to the XVI century.

The unusual base could have been used as an oratory before. The website "Croix et calvaires du Finistère" describes it as having : an architectured base with lateral walls and a pillar, on a square pedestal. The pillar has sides, and is topped by a knot and a crucifix.
