A short meeting in Bon-Accord Terrace Gardens from 5.45pm until about 6.30pm (followed by food in The Holburn Bar) to celebrate the life & brains of Douglas Adams and his ever popular trilogy in five parts 'The Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy'.
(Technically this should be held on the 25th May but unfortunately I already have things booked all day so won't be free.)
An excellent suggestion by one hoopy frood last year was that the theme should be 'tea' "Is Tea the Answer to Life, the Universe and Everything? The premise to the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is that the answer to the BIG question of what is the meaning of life, the universe and everything is...42. What can this mean? Well I think I have the answer: 42 = Forty Two = For Tea Two = Tea for Two !" (Isabella 'Izzy' Von Lichtan) please bring along flasks of boiling water and your favourite brew to raise a mug in toast to Douglas.
*note - favourite brews are not to include Pan-Galactic Gargle Blasters.
If possible, please do come in costume (and bring a change for at the pub afterwards if you wish).
Spare towels will also be available for those who may have inadvertently forgotten their own - just in case we do meet a Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal - but please, not too much hand to hand combat!
After this meeting, we will head along to The Holburn Bar (approx 5-10 min walk away) for some food from 7.00pm until 9.00pm (or onwards).
For those not able to join us in the park beforehand, upon arrival in the pub, look for people wearing 'Geocaching Scotland' tops. I'll also have a sheet with the event title on the table.
