Identify this famous Hampshire resident. I originally heard about them (very briefly) at school - but only recently discovered that they were, in fact, a real person. Finding out more about them, I think the whole thing is rather lovely.
- Person X was originally from a Hampshire town more than a dozen miles North of the published co-ordinates, although it's not the town that most people might think.
- Person X was the child of a Doctor, the grand-child of a Bishop and a great-great-grandchild of a Lord Mayor of London.
- Person X was educated at one of the country's top prep schools where they became head pupil.
- Person X then went on to work in the catering industry.
- A student of our mother tongue would have heard of Person X in a Work by a famous writer. Their later mutual friendship came about as a result of an earlier chance encounter.
- When the Work was created, the fact that Person X was real, was not publicly known.
- The Work was accurately described by Person X as a 'fantasy'. However, Person X did later admit that their life was like that.
- Person X later lived in the Far East and Africa but came back to the UK when circumstances changed for the worse.
Once you've identified who this is, check the usual sources for their dates of birth and death in the following format:
D.O.B. dd/mm/yyyy = AB/CD/EFGH
D.O.D. dd/mm/yyyy = JK/LM/NPQR
You'll find the cache at N 51° 0(G+H).(J+R)CK W 000° 4(B+H).N(B-A)D
which is in a location related to the puzzle.
