This cache was placed with my sons N8 & Hunter who are becoming quite the cachers. It is located on the Old Mail Road which used to be postal delivery route for the Town of Amherst many moons ago. It was then converted to a Class VI road. On March 6, 2016 town voters moved by a margin of 2,115 to 589 via their annual SB2 vote that the road transition to a Class B trail:
ARTICLE 33: Shall the Town vote to reclassify segments of the Class Vl roadway know as Old Mail Road, commencing at its intersection with Winterberry Drive thence northerly approximately 3,220(+/-) feet to the southeasterly comer of the parcel of land identified as Lot 1 0-61 -1 on the Tax Maps of the Town; and commencing at the intersection of New bouth Road thence northerly approximately 1,400(+/-) feet to the intersection with Horace Greeley Road from a Class Vl Road to a Class B trail in accordance with RSA 231-A:3. (Majority vote)
This trail now provides a non-motorized nature trail from NH Hwy 101 all the way to Pulpit Rock in Bedford, NH. Enjoy!

"First, you need to walk down the trail a little while. Also, my dad thought he had lost his wallet while hiding this cache but he found in one of his back pocket shorts in his laundry. Anyway, you have to walk up about a half mile and then you will be at the destination. The cache is duct taped in cammo."
