Gold Side Mountain is a beautiful mountain to the north of Taipei with rocky outcrops and great views of Taipei. It can accessed either from NeiHu (MRT Xihu or GangQian) or as part of the much longer hike from JianTan to NeiHu.
The terrain is more exciting than most of the mountains near Taipei, more boulders and rocks to climb over and not a lot of stairs. For farther information on the hike refer to this website: http://taiwanhikes.blogspot.tw/2014_04_01_archive.html
