Welkom in het Koninklijk Museum van het Leger en de Krijgsgeschiedenis. In de indrukwekkende luchtvaarthal die deel uitmaakt van het Museum kunt u, dankzij deze schattenjacht, een kleine maar boeiende tentoonstelling over de aanwezigheid van België – en in het bijzonder van onze militairen - in Antarctica bewonderen. Welcome to the Royal Museum of armed forces and of Military History. We take you on a cold trip to explore a new division of the Museum, within the Aviation Hall, and dedicated to Antarctica. Thanks to this exciting treasure-hunt, you will learn how Belgium – and Belgian Defence – have contributed to the exploration of the “sixth continent”, with the Adrien de Gerlache expedition in 1898, the King Baudouin Base in 1957-1967 and eventually the high-tech Princess Elisabeth Station.
