Une éruption phréato-magmatique est une explosion volcanique due à la rencontre entre le magma et l'eau.
A phreatomagmatic eruption is a volcanic explosion due to the meeting between magma and water.
Les roches du sol (socle cristallin) sont arrachées et projetées violemment, elles se déposent ensuite aux alentours du cratère mélées aux roches volcaniques basaltiques.
The rocks of the ground ( crystalline basement ) are torn off and projected violently , they are then deposited around the crater with basaltic volcanic rocks.
Au fil de l'éruption, les projections s'accumulent en strates en fonction de l'activité volcanique. Les berges du Gour de Tazenat s'élèvent à 50 mètres au dessus du niveau du lac et forment un anneau pyroclastique au nord, à l'est et au sud.
During the eruption , projections accumulate in layers depending on volcanic activity. The banks of the Gour de Tazenat are 50 meters above lake level and form a pyroclastic ring north, east and south.
