On the equinoxes the Sun shines directly on the equator and the length of day and night is nearly equal – but not quite.
The March equinox marks the moment the Sun crosses the celestial equator – the imaginary line in the sky above the Earth’s equator – from south to north and vice versa in September.
The actual time of the 2016 Vernal Equinox in Hampshire is 04.30, but that was far too early for an event (at least for us...) and the venue doesn't open on a Sunday until 08.00 (please note - this is the opening time that we've confirmed with the venue - ignore what is stated on their website).
We (or, more accurately, at least one of us...) will be there from 08.00-08.30 which hopefully isn't too early for everyone...
The venue is opposite a most appropriately named pub for an equinox...
We'll make sure that we have something caching related on our table to help you recognise us.
