Plean Country Park is a lovely park on the outskirts of Stirling and is surprisingly bigger than it looks on the maps. There are many trails around the park and it is a great place to go for a walk with many lovely forest areas and a great kids play park. Caches are placed with the kind permission of Jennifer Davidson and Alan Petrie of the Countryside Ranger team from Stirling Council.
Of all the people to have a street named after them in the small village of Plean I think President J.F. Kennedy was the least likely but President Kennedy Drive is the road you drive up to get to the main car park so who knows. Was he here after all??????
This is a small clic fresh tub in a camouflage bag across the trail from the sign directing you to President Kennedy Drive.
If you are a competent mountain biker on technical trails then this whole series can be reached by bike. I did it to double check the co-ords of all the caches after some of the opening weekend logs and it was great fun! Please note most of the caches in this series are in heavily wooded areas which sends the GPS a bit loopy. I've been out with my phone and my Garmin hillwalking GPS to try to get it as accurate as possible. Congrats to Nirikina on FTF!
