SLO: Na vrh Kamnjeka lahko pristopite po različnih poteh.
Najbolj priljubljena je tako imenovana Radetzkyjeva pot. Pot se začne v starem delu Tržiča, pod gradom, ki je bil nekoč last grofa Radetzkyja (njemu je posvečen Straussov "Radetzky marš", ki ga lahko slišimo na vsakem novoletnem koncertu Dunajskih filharmonikov).

Če ste vajeni hoje v visokogorju in vam strm vzpon ne dela težav, toplo priporočam, da pustite vašo geovozilo na predlaganem parkirišču (gl. waypoint 1 parking in 2/3/4 bridge/trailhead) in greste gor po najzahtevnejši in deloma precej izpostavljeni poti označeni s črko »T«.
Spodnji del je sicer precej strm (ja, švicali boste 
), ampak to seveda tudi pomeni, da boste prej prišli na vrh.
Tako imenovana »Trim pot« skoraj v celoti teče po ozkem grebenu, čez nekaj skalnih skokov pomaga jeklenica. Mestoma se odprejo lepi razgledi na obe strani. Šele ko se prvič odpre pogled na okolico vidite kako visoko nad Tržičem ste.
Vzpon je ravno prav dolg (ca. 25-40 min., odvisno od telesnih sposobnosti), da si na vrhu lahko privoščite zaslužen počitek s čudovitim razgledom na okoliško hribovje. Vidite Dobrčo, Stol, Begunjščico, celotno Košuto, Dovžanovo sotesko, Lomsko dolino, Storžič, Kriško goro in še marsikaj.
Na vrhu vas čaka majhen zaklad (ki je skrit v neposredni bližini vrha na mestu, ki ni nevaren).
Za sestop predlagam eno izmed preostalih (lažjih) poti, na primer priljubljeno Radetzkyjevo pot.

Med domačini je poznana akcija »100x na Kamnjek«. Nekateri so vrh obiskali celo več kot 300krat v letu! Ko sem šel jaz gor, sem srečal precej ljudi. Očitno je akcija 100x na Kamnjek še vedno zelo priljubljena…
Kamnjek is a very popular hiking destination for local people. Some make it to the top 100 times a year or more, and the most obsessed Kamnjek aficionados even 300 times or more. So, expect to have some company...
ENG: There are different routes to the summit.
The most popular is the so called Radetzky trail. It starts in the old part of Tržič, under the castle that belonged to the Austrian nobleman and general Radetzky (immortalised by Johann Strauss I's famous Radetzky March).

I recommend another approach to the summit. If you are in for some more adrenaline take the steep and in some sections exposed Trim trail (marked with the letter »T«). It is definitely the fastest (ca. 25-40 minutes, depending on your abilities) and most exciting way to the top.
Leave your car at the recommended parking coordinates, cross the nearby bridge, and then turn left to the trailhead (see waypoints parking, bridge and trailhead). Now it will get sweaty !
The T-trail follows the ridge all the way to the summit. Especially the bottom part is very steep and sometimes exposed. Expect to use your hands here and there, since there are some short passages where some easy rock scrambling is required. Two sections are even secured with an iron rope. But if you are used to hiking in the mountains and do not suffer from vertigo (fear of heights) it is no big deal. Just watch your step!
For families with small children and the way down I recommend a different trail, for example the popular “Radetzky way” (starting point is in the old town center of Tržič).
