Holy Name of Mary RC Church, The Avenue, Linthorpe

The Church was officially opened on Saturday, 29th October, 1938 by the Bishop of Middlesbrough the Rt. Rev. Dr. Thomas Shine and it was consecrated on 30th October, 1957.

Holy Name of Mary Roman Catholic Church in Linthorpe was built in a very simple Romanesque style and the tower is designed as a campanile.

The central entrance and windows are within a stone surround. The eastern elevation gable is kneelered, of dark red brick, with a darker red brick plinth and a brick dentil course.
