Church Micro 8969...Carmarthen - St John Traditional Geocache

There's a new geocacher in the parish! This is one of a series of caches placed within the parish of St Peter's, Carmathen. You are looking for a micro sized cache just within the grounds of the church but within reach from the pavement outside as the gates to the churchyard are kept locked when the church is not in use.

St John's was opened for worship in 1890 as the Welsh language church for the parish of St Peter's. Welsh language services are still held there each Sunday. The church is a Grade II listed building and the impressive gate piers, gate and railings are also listed and were locally made in Carmathen.

Welsh language services are held at 9.30am each Sunday and an English medium congregation, named 'Six-Thirty' meet every Sunday evening ... at 6.30pm.
