Winter is for Caching: Gollum's Golden Glint Traditional Geocache

This is another in a series of caches designed to be found in any kind of weather.  I've recently been turned on to the joys of winter caching and have been profoundly grateful for the pelthora of winter friendly caches in and around Missoula.  To thank all you great all weather hiders and finders out there, here is a series with the mid-winter cache fix in mind!

This cache is hidden in Pheasant Run, another neighborhood park that is just a short walk from where I live. This is a popular place for the local children to play during warm weather, which makes it a perfect candidate for my winter friendly cache series! There hasn't been a cache here for a few years, because like many parks, it's tough to keep things from disappearing in such a well groomed environment.  I'm hoping that the hide style I've chosen will keep it out of the hands of the local mini-muggles.  Only time will tell, however! At least it will be easy to maintain, since I pass by here often on after work strolls.  I had a cache hidden in this manner a few years back, but I archived it because it wasn't a very savory location. I'm glad to get to showcase this style of hide in a more inviting spot!
