Geocache Description:

Albemarle Road is a beautiful historic street in the Ditmas Park/ "Victorian Flatbush" neighborhood of Brooklyn. This street is lined with stately mansions, some of which are in disrepair, but you can imagine how beautiful they once were and you feel as if you stepped back to another time and place...

This is a nano cache, placed with a view of one of the most dramatic of these mansions which you cannot miss with its massive columns--1305 Albemarle Road. This home was built in 1905 by Architect H.B. Moore, and on the very day this cache was hidden, it appeared the current owners were moving out. I wonder what is in store for this special piece of history...

Take a walk around the surrounding blocks and enjoy this quiet neighborhood that feels like you have been transported to a serene suburb far from NYC. It's hard to believe you are just minutes away from busy Flatbush, Brooklyn.
