[En] Being 50 years old, IOR Park is one of the youngest green spaces in Bucharest and the second largest. IOR Park occupies a surface of 81.24 hectares, from which 40.28 ha are represented by Alexandru Ioan Cuza Park, while on the other 40.96 ha you can find Titan Park (also known as Arts' Park). The two parks are separated by Liviu Rebreanu bridge built over Lake Titan, which spreads over almost a quarter of the IOR Park area (approx. 19 hectares). There are five islands on Lake Titan: two in Alexandru Ioan Cuza Park (Pensioners' Island and Ducks' Island) and three in Titan Park (Fishermen's Island, Arts' Island and Dogs' Island).
Arts' Island (1.03 ha) is the second largest in the IOR Park and was especially designed in order to host cultural events. "Outdoor cinema" is the main project developed on the Arts' Island, free movies being played here in the summer nights.
[Ro] La cei 50 de ani ai sai, Parcul IOR este cel mai tanar spatiu verde si de agrement din Capitala si al doilea ca marime. Din cele 81,24 ha cat are Parcul IOR in total, 40,28 ha sunt ocupate de Parcul Alexandru Ioan Cuza, iar pe 40,96 ha se intinde Parcul Titan-Parcul Artelor. Cele doua parcuri sunt despartite de podul Liviu Rebreanu, construit peste Lacul Titan, care inseamna aproape un sfert din suprafata Parcului IOR (aprox. 19 hectare). Cinci insule sunt pe Lacul Titan: doua in Parcul Alexandru Ioan Cuza (Insula Pensionarilor si Insula Ratelor) si trei in Parcul Titan – Parcul Artelor (Insula Pescarilor, Insula Artelor si Insula Cateilor).
Insula Artelor (1,03 ha) este a doua ca marime din Parcul IOR si a fost special amenajata pentru a putea gazdui evenimente culturale. “Cinema in aer liber” este principalul proiect desfasurat pe Insula Artelor, unde ruleaza gratuit filme in serile de vara.
