ZachNLiam: This cache is gone, and here's the story, told to me by a fellow CVC cacher, Nailtram:
Hey, was writing to let you know that warrio #2 is no longer in place. The
short version of the story is that a gardener found it. the long (and more
interesting version) follows, if you care to read:
midnight caching...new gps, lack of work the following day...wandered
around the area where we (myself and DJ_Keith, another first timer) had
determined it should be. the first thing that he did was run his hand
under the railing looking for something magnetic, nothing there. tromped
around the area for about a half an hour looking with flashlights before
going off to Warrio #1. found it quickly, on the way back a cop pulled up
where are you going? uhm...to the car? where'd you come from? the other
side of the campus? what the hell are you doing on campus at midnight
wandering around with flashlights??? uhhmm....that's a bit tougher...ever
heard of geocaching? He had, but had no idea what it was, a brief
explanation later he informed us that the police department was currently
in posession of 'one of your units' which turned out to be Warrio
#2. Gardeners were trimming the place up, found the cache, and called the
police thinking it was a bomb. Having had everything explained everyone
thought the situation was downright hillarious. Officer took our names and
gave me a business card. Said that if you cared to call the PD and let
them know you're the owner of the cache, they'd happily give it back and
you can replace it.
