EmOCan and I had been out this direction last month and we had decided to detour over to the small town of Arrowwood to check out its grain elevator and to see what else we could find. While driving around the town, we found this area which features a section of an old wood siphon, a small wetland park, and is also an Alberta Science Stop.
My Pocket Queries didn't cover this area so we weren't sure if there was a cache here or not, so we said if we got home and found the area was open we would make a return visit to place one here. And, so, while we don't know if this is the first cache to be placed in Arrowwood* (probably not), we can claim that at the time of placement, this is the only cache in Arrowwood -- in fact, our search didn't show another cache within 10km!
