This area along the park border when looked at on a map is seen as a deep notch of farmland that is surrounded by Riding Mountain National Park but actually still not part of the Riding Mountain National Park property and is a pretty little drive to be ever enjoyed. You may find many species of wildlife coexisting between the Riding Mountain National Park and the farmland it surrounds on three sides of the marginally serviced road which forms the border tu whit and tu whoo it takes a lot of thought to come up with enough to write about this couple of square miles of property. Watch for more than a few deer. They come out from behind some blind hiding spots. You could hit one.
It is a really unique drive into the Notch if you come in from the west side as there is trees of all kinds that are on the Riding Mountain National Park side but flat plain agricultural land right up to the road on the farm land side which at this autumn time of the year has barely any stubble growth after the local farmers took in their yeild before the rains came that left many of our rural roads muddy obstacle courses to drive in with all terrain vehicles or thankfully four wheel drive pick up trucks and such. We hope you enjoy your visit into what locals call the Notch and find the wee cache. This could be a challenge for some people. We hope it's fun.............
Cache contains only a log, so please bring your own writing tool. Extraction tool is also necessary.
