Wow! So exciting! We have a new trail in Wells! Or as our son used to call it "South Rothesay".
Over here across the highway we sometimes feel left out. And it can seem a little silly to leave our nice little neighborhood to drive across the highway to the main part of the Town of Rothesay to go for a walk, a snowshoe or a run. But no longer. We have our very own trail. Fit for running, biking, skiing, or snowshoeing as the season permits. No more running on the narrow shoulder of the road for us! Not only that, this trail connects to Quispamsis (must ask the town to fix that boggy spot between here and the water tower), Centenniel Park, the Barsa subdivision, and, by crossing the overpass, it connects to the Hillside Trail on the other side of the highway. Marathon training, moonlight cross country ski adventures and quiet walks after work all possible without getting in the car. :)
