A la sortida nord del peatge de Perpinyà, hi ha una rotonda on s’ha instal•lat un rellotge solar gegant, monumental i artístic. El més gran d’Europa. Un projecte científic/metal•lúrgic que desafia la gravetat. Una busca vermella de 30 metres de llargada, que s’aixeca vint-i-dos metres de terra amb un pes de 35 tones. L’ancoratge al terra és tota una proesa tècnica. Els càlculs astronòmics els podem llegir al cercle exterior de la rotonda des de les 5 del matí fins les 19 h solars.

In the northern exit of the toll of Perpignan, there is a monumental and artistic sundial built in a roundabout. It seems to be the largest sundial in Europe. It is a scientifical / metallurgical project that defies gravity. A 30 meters long red gnomon rises at a height of 22 meters, with a weight of 35 tons. Anchoring the ground is a real technical challenge. We can read the astronomical calculations in the outer circle of the roundabout from 5am until 19pm local time.
