Velká louka
Velká louka v Plasích je v širokém okolí známé místo. Je to část nivy řeky Střely.
Po velké povodni roku 1872 byla přetvořena na anglický park a remízky z té doby jsou na ní dodnes. Leží v záplavovém území 100leté vody a proto je uchráněna před stavební činností.
K bývalým šatnám přírodního kluziště (postaveném ještě před stavební uzávěrou) bylo časem přistavěno podium a prostor před ním se využívá pro různé akce. Jmenujme koncety skupiny Brutus, přehlídky koní, majálesy, pouť Na královnu a Baroko maraton.
Podél řeky Střely vede pěkná pěšina. Když se po ní vydáte, dojdete až ke studánce Prelátce, kde si můžete posedět a napít se výborné vody, pro kterou chodí a jezdí lidé z širokého okolí Plas.
Large Meadow
Large Meadow is a popular area in Plasy. It is a part of Střela river floodplain.
An English garden was created in the area after a great flood in 1872. Several groups of trees from that time are there till today. The area is within the 100-year floodplain and therefore the construction activity in the area is restricted.
There is an outdoor stage at the north-western part of the area, which is used for many different events: Brutus band dancing parties, horses shows, Plasy pilgrimage festivities or Baroque marathon to name just a few.
There is a path along the Střela river leading to a spring called Prelátka. You can sit down there for a while and drink from its water as many locals do. The spring is so popular that you probably will encounter people in a car or two coming there for the water to drink at home.
