Gradnja ovog prekrasnog baroknog zdanja započeta je 1702. Samostan pripada tipu klaustralnih gradskih samostana, a po svojim je sastavnim dijelovima tradicionalan i prilagođen životu redovničke i šire zajednice, koji objedinjuje rad, odnosno molitvu stanovanje i hranjenje, razonodu te djelatnosti važne za okolinu. Crkva je bila dovršena 1710.g., a posvečena je Sv. Franji Asiškom.
Samostanska biblioteka pohranjuje zbirku od oko dvanaest tisuća knjiga pretežito teološkog sadržaja, od kojih su neke iz 16., 17. i 18. st. i pravi su rariteti. Biblioteka je 1878. godine pridodana krilu samostana. Samostan posjeduje i samostansku zbirku sa preko dvjesto i pedeset izložaka, koje predstavljaju raznolika i raznorodna svjedočanstva ljudskog stvaralaštva, znanja i kreativnosti.
Predmeti su izrađeni tradicionalnim umjetničkim i obrtničkim tehnikama, u raznolikim materijalima. Od predmeta izdvajamo: Herbarij iz 1756.g.; Relikvijar Sv. Križa i stupa bičevanja, 18. stoljeće; Ikonu «Bogorodica s djetetom» 16. stoljeće i drugo.

In der Straße De Amicis 36, befindet sich das Franziskanerkloster und die Kirche des Heiligen Franz von Assisi. Mit dem Bau dieses prachtvollen Barockgebäudes begann man im Jahr 1702. Nach seiner Bauart gehört das Kloster zu den Stadtklöstern, die Raumanordnung ist traditionell, angepasst ans Leben der Klostergemeinschaft und darüber hinaus eines breiteren Kreises, in denen Arbeiten, Beten, Wohnen, Essen, Unterhaltung, sowie gemeinnützige Arbeit vereint sind.
Die Kirche wurde im Jahr 1710 fertig gestellt und es wurde dem Heiligen Franz von Assisi gewidmet. In der Klosterbibliothek befindet sich eine Sammlung von zwanzig tausend Büchern überwiegend theologischen Inhalts, einige davon stammen aus dem 16., 17. und 18. Jahrhundert und sind echte Raritäten. Die Bibliothek kam im Jahr 1878 zum Klosterflügel. Das Kloster besitzt auch eine eigene Sammlung mit über 250 Exemplare, die von der Vielfalt des menschlichen Schaffens, Wissens und Kreativität zeugen.
Die Gegenstände wurden mit traditionellen künstlerischen und handwerklichen Techniken aus verschiedenen Materialien hergestellt. Von den Exemplaren heben wir folgende hervor: das Herbarium aus dem Jahr 1756, das Reliquiar des Hl. Kreuzes und Geißelsäule, 18. Jahrhundert; Ikone „Muttergottes mit Kind“ 16. Jahrhundert und andere.

The construction of this beautiful Baroque building started in 1702. The monastery belongs to a type of claustral city monasteries and, according to its integral parts, it is traditional and adjusted to the life of the monks and the wider community.
It combines work, worship, habitation, feeding, entertainment and activities important for our environment. The church was finished in 1710 and consecrated to St. Francis of Assisi. The monastery library stores a collection of about twelve thousand books, mainly of theological content, some of which date from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries and are true rarities. The library was annexed to the monastery in 1878. The monastery also has a monastery collection of over 250 exhibits representing various and diverse evidence of human creativity, knowledge and achievement.
The objects were made applying traditional art and craft techniques and using various materials. Let us mention some: Herbarium from 1756; Reliquary of the Holy Cross and the Torture Pole from the 18th century; Icon of the Holy Mary and Child from the 16th century; and other.
