This geocache has been placed in celebration of the American holiday of Thanksgiving.
Most young American children learn turkey identification by tracing outlines of their hands to make Thanksgiving cards, but flocks of these big, spectacular birds can be seen striding around woods and clearings in and near this area. Courting males puff themselves into feathery balls and fill the air with exuberant gobbling. The Wild Turkey’s popularity at the table led to a drastic decline in numbers, but they have recovered and now occur in every state except Alaska.
Congratulations to singin4cache for sharing FTF with grandparents.
