Liepājas Raiņa 6.vidusskola - "Microsoft Showcase School
"Microsoft Showcase School" statuss, kas norāda uz to, ka skolas vadība savā mācību iestādē radījusi inovatīvu mācību vidi, Latvijā piešķirts tikai divām skolām – Liepājas Raiņa 6. vidusskolai un Siguldas pilsētas vidusskolai. 2014. – 2015. gadā kopumā šāds statuss pasaulē piešķirts tikai 150 skolām. "Microsoft Showcase Schools" ir inovāciju ziņā vadošās skolas, kur skolu vadībai ir skaidrs redzējums par pārmaiņām. Šie vadītāji ir radījuši inovatīvu, uz tehnoloģijām balstītu mācību vidi, kur skolēni pašmācības ceļā veido savus sasniegumus, tādējādi padarot mācību procesu daudz aizraujošāku.
Liepājas Raiņa 6.vidusskolas pamatnostāja ir spēja mainīties līdzi sabiedrības, vides, zinātņu un tehnoloģiju attīstībai un veidot 21. gadsimta izglītības komūnu, kur pamatizglītība balstās uz skolēna interesēm un aizrautību, kur zinātnē un piedzīvojumā dzimst jaunas idejas, kur vide mainās līdzi bērnam un kur ikvienam skolēnam ir iespēja uzdrīkstēties un uzsākt Eiropas līmeņa projektus.

In schoolyear 2014/2015 approx. 150 schools in the world gained "Microsoft Showcase School" status, there are only 2 schools in Latvia between them. Liepaja Rainis Secondary school No. 6 and Sigulda Secondary school. Microsoft Showcase Schools are innovative schools where the school leader has a strong vision for change. These leaders have created an innovative learning environment by means of technologies and practice-based learning.
We are an open-minded and modern school where the engagement and curiosity are the main impulsive forces within the learning process integrated through an individual adventure of teachers and students cooperating with each other and learning from each other. The whole world is the real classroom where the learning is carried out more outside the room (in virtual classrooms) than inside it. Discovering, integrating and presenting along with learning by doing are the core principles for longterm results and achievements. Teachers encourage and monitor each student's individual development by using the couching method. There is a meaningful use of new technologies to encourage the development of a creative and responsible personality.
