Willkommen in unserm bescheidenen Hotel.
Es ist ein Stadtteil von Kirchhain im Landkreis Marburg-Biedenkopf in Mittelhessen. Im Altkreis Marburg war es der am höchsten liegende Ort (378 m ü. NN).
Der Ort liegt nördlich von Kirchhain am Rand des Amöneburger Beckens am höchsten Berg der Stadt, dem Burgholz. Auf diesem Berg, am südwestlichen Ortsrand, befindet sich der Hunburgturm, ein 28,5 m hoher Aussichtsturm.
Erstmals urkundlich erwähnt wird das Dorf im Jahre 1317.
Am 1. Februar 1971 wurde die bis dahin selbständige Gemeinde Burgholz in die Stadt Kirchhain eingegliedert.
Burgholz war 1992 im hessischen Wettbewerb „Unser Dorf“ Landessieger.

It is a district of Kirchhain in Marburg-Biedenkopf district in central Hessen. In Altkreis Marburg it was the highest lying village ( 378 m above sea level. NN ).
The town lies north of Kirchhain on the edge of Amöneburger basin on the highest mountain of the city , the castle wood . On this mountain , on the southwestern outskirts of the village , there is the Hunburgturm ,
a 28.5 m high observation tower .
First mentioned the village is in 1317th
On February 1, 1971, until then independent municipality Burgholz was incorporated into the town of Kirchhain.
Burgholz was in 1992 in the Hessian competition " Our village " Landessieger .
