Have you seen the view of Mt. Rainier at the Mineral Lake Lodge (or as the locals know it, The Old Murray Place)? It is phenomenal! The view is so spectacular that TV shows like Animal Planet and Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives have filmed here. They are the ONLY establishment in the entire Nisqually River Valley that has a view of Mt. Rainier and Mineral Lake. There are spectacular photo opportunities here with the mountain, the lake, sunsets/sunrises and the wildlife. This is a photographer’s paradise.
There is a legend that Teddy Roosevelt stayed here back in July of 1910. At that time the lodge had an open sunroom on the second floor. It is believed that Mr. Roosevelt slept in the sunroom since it was too hot in the normal rooms. This has not been documented, so it may just be wishful thinking on the locals' part.
This historic 3-story log lodge was built in 1906 to resemble the rugged elegance of a German wilderness hunting lodge. The lodge has been placed on the National Registry of Historic Places and has 8 themed guest rooms, including antiques and a cedar sauna for the guests. On the wrap around veranda you are greeted with magnificent views of Mt. Rainier and Mineral Lake.
This grand country lodge sits on a spectacular scenic setting of 3 1/2 acres. Included is 215 feet of pristine, private waterfront property on Mineral Lake. Home of the 10 pound trout! So come on out and check out the phenomenal views of Mt Rainier and Mineral Lake from the Historic Mineral Lake Lodge
