The Enumclaw Expo Center (formerly the King County Fairgrounds) was transferred from King County to the City of Enumclaw in 2006. Beginning July 1, 2015, a transfer was again made to a newly established non-profit organization, Enumclaw Expo and Events Association.
The Expo Center is comprised of 72 acres with a variety of multi-use buildings, grass midways, parking lots, and arenas that are versatile enough to accommodate most any event. The Expo Center is home to several large events, including the Enumclaw Wine & Chocolate Festival, King County Fair, Seattle Scottish Highland Games and Clan Gathering, Olympic Kennel Club Dog Show, Enumclaw Brew Fest, and the Enumclaw Festival of Crafts and Gifts. The historic Field House, a beautiful wood building built in 1940, is popular for weddings, fundraisers, business retreats, and dances. The King County Fair is the longest-running fair west of the Mississippi, and includes traditional fair attractions including 4-H exhibits, carnival rides, vendors, food, entertainment, and more. The Fair is a four-day event each July.
2016 was the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service, and to celebrate, Visit Rainier and WSGA hosted the Visit Rainier Centennial GeoTour - 100 caches placed in and around Mount Rainier National Park. The geocaches highlighted the rich history, scenic wonders, quaint communities, and hidden gems of the Rainier region. Participants received geocoin and pathtag prizes for finding all the caches.
