Um das Jahr 1865 sollte ursprunglich die Eisenbahnstrecke von Kempten nach Pfronten hier bei Moosbach vorbeiführen und an dieser Stelle wäre der Bahnhof gewesen. Allerdings wurde dieser Plan von dem Bayrischen Landtag wieder verworfen.
