TODEN Arakawa Line #04 【荒川二丁目停留場】
The 1st October is Tokyo Citizens' Day. State of Tokyo was established on this day in 1898.
The members of Geocaching groups in Tokyo, Celebrate this occasion by hiding this Cache, along with many other caches, all over our city. Please enjoy Tokyo's anniversary.
"TODEN (Toei Streetcar) Arakawa Line"
The TODEN Arakawa Line is a streetcar line in Tokyo, operated by the TOEI (Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation). The Arakawa-Line is the sole survivor of Tokyo's once-extensive Tokyo TODEN streetcar system. (But, it is not the only tram line in Tokyo, as the privately owned Tōkyū Setagaya-Line is also classified as a streetcar.)
Bell will be when the streetcar to depart. When it sets off the bell rings, "ding-ding". Thus 'ding-ding-train'. (Japanese : Chin-Chin-Densha)

10月1日は東京都民の日です。市制施行で1898年のこの日に東京市が始まりました。
東京のジオキャッシンググループは共同でこの日を祝い、キャッシュを置いて公開します。
都民の日に公開された、いろいろなキャッシュをお楽しみ下さい。
最近東京で新しい路面電車が計画されていますが、都電荒川線は昭和の東京を代表する象徴的な存在です。
下町から山の手まで、約12キロの距離に30の停留場があって、沿線に隠れている東京の姿を発見出来るかもしれません。
都電に揺られて、キャッシュと共に隠されている東京も発見してみて下さい。★一日乗車券:大人400円も便利です。
キャッシュは都電荒川線沿いにあります。
数年前から温存しているものや、移設したり新設したのもを含めて30個のキャッシュがGCerの皆さんをお待ちしています。
距離的には電車に乗るより歩く方がいい場所もあります。沿線を楽しみに、是非遊びに来て下さいね!!。
