Capitale incontestée de la caricature, du dessin de presse et d'humour …

Voici un peu plus de 30 ans une poignée de jeunes un peu désoeuvrés ont voulu manifester leur envie de faire "bouger" leur commune limousine de 2 500 habitants. Ils ont osé l'histoire et le patrimoine dans un premier temps puis, tout aussi sérieux, l'humour et la caricature…

Et très vite les aides ont afflué, les coups de pouces aussi… Loup, Cabu, Wolinski, Wiaz, Plantu, Mofrey et bien d'autres encore ont été de ceux-là. Très vite aussi les frontières sont tombées et, de toutes nationalités, les dessinateurs ont afflué vers Saint-Just…

C'est aujourd'hui le lieu le plus important en Europe (probablement même au monde) consacré la Caricature, au dessin satirique, au dessin d'humour…

Du dernier week- end de septembre au 1er week-end d'octobre sont programmés expositions pour tous publics, colloques, rencontres… et animations diverses …. Saint-Just-Le-Martel participe aujourd'hui à des manifestations un peu partout dans le monde : En Europe, mais aussi en Chine, en Corée, en Turquie, au Brésil, aux États-Unis…

Chaque année est proclamé un palmarès décalé comprenant notamment
- Le Grand Prix de l'humour vache (le gagnant reçoit une vache limousine)
- Le Prix de l'humour tendre (le gagnant reçoit un agneau baronet du Limousin)
- Le crayon de porcelaine ... etc.

N'oubliez pas de visiter les autres caches du village dont certaines vous permettront de découvrir sur votre chemin différents dessins et caricatures qui décorent les rues du bourg tout au long de l'année.

Pourquoi "VERT" ?
Ma première cache posée (GC3VHY2) était une boîte verte, avec un stylo vert, un log book vert et des objets d'échange verts. Ainsi est née l'idée de placer les caches qui ont suivi sous le signe du "VERT" et de proposer un challenge consistant à y déposer de préférence des objets "VERTs". Ce challenge ne peut malheureusement pas concerner les caches de taille nano ou micro.

Today it is the most important place in Europe (probably even worldwide) dedicated to the Caricature, to the satiric drawing, to the drawing of humour …
From the last weekend of September to the 1st weekend of October are scheduled exhibitions for every public, colloquiums, meetings and diverse animations. Saint-Just-Le-Martel participates in demonstrations almost everywhere in the world : in Europe, but also in China, in Korea, in Turkey, in Brazil, in the United States …

Every year is proclaimed a prize list including in particular
- Grand Prix of the "humour vache"limousine (the winner receives a cow of Limousin)
- The Price of the tender humour (the winner receives a lamb of Limousin)
- The porcelain pencil etc.

Do not forget to visit the other caches of the village which will allow you to discover on your way various drawings and caricatures which decorate the streets of the village all year long.

Why "VERT" ?
My first geocache ( GC3VHY2) was a green box, with a green pen, a green log book and green items for exchange. So was born the idea to place the caches which followed under the sign of the "VERT" ("GREEN" in French) and to propose a challenge consisting in depositing there rather "VERT" objects. This challenge cannot unfortunately concern the caches in nano or micro size.
