Geocache Description:

St John the Evangelist church is in the little village of Milton and was buit by the Gothic Revival architect William Butterfield. Most people would drive straight past the village on thier way to Bloxham without realising they had driven through. Next to the church is a lovely little pub once famously owned by the celebrity chef Marco Pierre White but he no longer owns the place.

The church was built in 1856 by the bulders Franklin's and Hopcrafts of Deddington. It is made up of regularly course Ironstone rubble and Limestone dressings with a steeply pitched roof.
