Geocache Description:

This is a cache created for the younger cachers to enjoy.  Please make sure to trade swag with the cache theme in mind.  Please do not loot the cache.  This was made with much thought and effort to bring smiles to little ones faces.  If you take something from the cache please put something pirate/treasure related back into the cache.

There is a local legand that Capt'n One Armed John Black and his crew were shipwrecked in the Musquash Habour around 1728. It was a dark and foggy night when the ship tore against the rocks. One Armed John and his crew carried the trunks of treasure off the ship.

Everyone was terrified of Capt'n Black.  He was a pirate of the worst kind.  He and his crew were said to have travelled many miles looking for the right place to keep their treasure until they could return to collect it.  As the story goes, it was said that he and his crew were killed by Captain Hook. Hook and his crew found most of the treasure but there was one chest that was missed.

People have searched for almost 300 years without success for this treasure.  No one has found the treasure yet.  Will you be the lucky one to find the missing treasure?

The first stage of the cache can be found near a pile of old railway ties.  You will be looking for a container that will include a pirate map for children to follow to the treasure.  They can keep the map as part of their adventure.  Please alert me if the maps are getting low.

The second stage is located about .14 miles (225 meters) from the first stage.  There is a bit of a hill to climb to get to the treasure.  It is suitable for children.  You will be looking for an ammo can located behind a coniferous tree.  Inside the can is the "treasure chest" .  Please rehide the cache as you found it.  If you are caching with children feel free to embellish on the pirate tale of this cache as you go from stage 1 to stage 2.
