Geocache Description:

Drive by. Use your powers of observation. Good for kids. Just a few miles from Appomattox Court House(the Surrendering Grounds).

Drove by this Indian several times and always threw up my hand. I thought it was an elderly person with braids just watching the world go by. Finally I realized it was a fake Indian. Now when I'm driving by with a passenger I tell them to "wave to the Indian" to check their powers of observation. He's been sitting there for at least 15 years and maybe more just watching the cars go by.

To complete this cache you need to email me with the location of the Indian.

Take Route 24 to Vera near Appomattox Court House. It can be seen from the highway even driving at the speed limit. There is a place to pull off at the co-ordinates if you don't spot it the first time. Please respect private property and stay on state right-of-way. Don't bother the neighbors unless they want to be bothered. Please post no spoilers and contact me with the location or your log will be eliminated.
