Die Himmelsleiter

Hier geht es auf den Nordturm der Marktkirche "St. Cosmas und Damian" zur höchsten Dose der Altstadt. In 60 m Höhe habt ihr einen herrlichen Rundblick auf Goslar.
Bei diesem Cache handelt es sich um einen Kurz-Multi mit Start und Final. Beim Start findet Ihr ein Metallschild an der Wand. Der 22. bis 32. Buchstabe (Überschrift zählt mit!) verrät euch, wo ihr im Nordturm nach dem Final suchen müsst.
Im Inneren des Turmes gibt es einige Besonderheiten zu bewundern:
Glockenstube
Die Glocken im sogenannten Westriegel zwischen den beiden Türmen wurden 1848 in Goslar gegossen. Die fast 7 Tonnen schwere Glocke "Johanna" ist die drittgrößte Glocke Niedersachsens.
Weule-Uhrwerk
Das Uhrwerk besteht aus einem Geh-, Stunden- und Minutenwerk und wurde 1848 von J.F. Weule, Bockenem gebaut. Unter den Kirchturmuhren gehört sie zu den Besten ihrer Art. Erst 1946 entfiel durch Elektromotorisierung die tägliche Notwendigkeit des Aufziehens.
Türmerstube
Seit dem 16. Jahrhundert gibt es in 56 m Höhe die Türmerstube. Bis 1904 versahen hier Turmwächter ihren Dienst. Ihre Aufgabe war es während der Nachtzeit nach einem möglichen Feuer in der Stadt Ausschau zu halten. Im 2. Weltkrieg gab es hier oben eine Luftschutzwache.

Die Sicherheitseinrichtungen (Kamera, Notschalter, Feuermelder, Feuerlöscher) haben nichts mit dem Cache zu tun!!! Und das Gästebuch der Kirche ist nicht das Logbuch!

Jacob's ladder
Place / Short Multi
Here you go to the north tower of the market church "St. Cosmas and Damian" to the highest can of the old town. At a height of 60 m you have a wonderful panoramic view of Goslar.
This cache is a short multi with start and final. At the start you will find a metal sign on the wall. The 22nd to 32nd letter (heading also counts!) tells you where to look for the final in the North Tower.
Inside the tower there are some peculiarities to admire:
Belfry
The bells in the so-called Westriegel between the two towers were cast in Goslar in 1848. The bell "Johanna" weighs almost 7 tons and is the third largest bell in Lower Saxony.
Weule-Clockwork
The clockwork consists of a walking, hour and minute movement and was built in 1848 by J.F. Weule, Bockenem. Among the church tower clocks it belongs to the best of its kind. It was not until 1946 that the daily need for winding was eliminated by electric motorization.
Türmerstube
Since the 16th century, the Türmerstube has existed at a height of 56 metres. Until 1904, tower guards served here. Their task was to look for a possible fire in the city during the night time. In the 2nd World War there was an air-raid guard up here.
