Geocache Description:

Enjoy the gorgeous Pipestone Creek Natural Area for a fun-filled geocaching adventure. Don't forget your camera!

Enjoy your visit to Pipestone Creek Conservation Lands, a natural area near Coal Lake. Here you can explore 5.5 km of trails that overlook Pipestone Creek, an oxbow lake, and take you through varying habitats including aspen forests, spruce woodlands, and grassland slopes.

To find this geocache:

Enter the land and follow the trail that takes you along the north boundary. Then take your next left and stay left to stay on the trail that connects as the largest loop in the land.

Once there is an open area on a hill to your left, you are getting close. There should be an “island” amongst this meadow that stands out. Go towards the island, but take care to watch your footing and try not to step on a baby tree in this area! There are thousands planted here to help restore this natural area.

Enjoy looking for 3 other geocaches at this land.
