Le camp des Allemands/ The german camp Traditional Geocache

Le camp des Allemands était un camp utilisé par l’armée allemande vers 1943 et ensuite par l’armée américaine en 1945. Le point de la croix-scaille avec ses 503 m était un point stratégique au point de vue militaire. C’est le sommet de la province de Namur et des Ardennes françaises.

Pour l’accès au camp, se parquer au pied de la tour du millénaire et continuer à pied en prenant le chemin à gauche de la tour. (Environ 1Km à travers bois). Le camp actuellement n’est plus qu’un tas de ruine mais on peut encore y distinguer les fondations des bâtiments ainsi qu’une cheminée.  Voir aussi le bâtiment à N 49°56,761' E 4°50.390'

For the access to the camp, to park on foot to the foot of the tower of the millennium and continue by taking the path on the left of the tower. (About 1Km through wood). The camp is currently only a heap of ruin but one can distinguish foundations of buildings as well as a chimney again there. To read the article of Mr. BARBAZON appeared in the magazine of the Historic Circle of Gedinne of December 2013.
