Dalesman: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not responded to my note I am archiving it.

Geocache Description:

Church Micro 7988...Meadowfield

St John's Church was built in 1875 on a site in Meadowfield which was donated by Lord Boyne. It was consecrated on 27th December 1875 with the first services taking place in 1876. There was room for 400 people inside and was built at a cost of £4,173. In 1882 an organ was installed at a cost of £245 and that same organ is still in use today. (It was built by Harrison and Harrison whose premises are passed on the way to the cache location). The church hall next to the church was destroyed by a fire on 23rd March 2014 after standing since 1911. Efforts continue to fund a replacement.

This is a straightforward offset multi with the cache being located approx 260 metres away from the church. Container is a small bison and a pen will be needed to sign the log. Tweezers may also be handy. Cache location can be very popular with learner drivers practicing their 3 point turns so some stealth may be required!

A = 3rd digit of Wednesday Week Mass.
B = Sunday Evening Prayer minus 1 hour.
C = 1st digit of Sunday Parish Mass.
D = 1st digit of Monday Week Mass minus 3.
E = Time of Sunday Mass.
F = 1st digit of Friday Week Mass minus 5.
