‘When I Grow Up’ is a life-sized bronze sculpture by Darren Jackson, based on the real-life nephew of an RNLI volunteer. It stands on a granite plinth from Poortown quarry near Peel. It depicts a child in an adult lifeboat man's clothing. It symbolises regeneration, and the new generation growing up to take their place in society.
