C'est sur le grand terrain clôturé près de la cache que viennent nicher une grande partie des aigrettes garzettes du Bassin d'Arcachon. Ce terrain, qui devait être construit, a fait l'objet d'un arrêté préfectoral de protection de biotope et appartient maintenant au Conseil général.
L'aigrette garzette élève ses petits dans des héronnières. Si vous venez entre fin avril et juin, vous pourrez observer, et surtout entendre, cette bruyante colonie et voir les allées et venues des adultes. Merci de ne pas franchir le fossé pour ne pas déranger.
Toute l'année la plage de Suzette vous accueillera pour les plaisirs de la promenade ou de la baignade. Je vous conseille une petite pause sur les bancs en front de mer, car même si la cache n'est pas là, ils offrent un point de vue imprenable sur de très beaux couchers de soleil.

A great part of the Little Egrets of the Bay of Arcachon breed in the large fenced ground close to the cache. This ground, that was bound to be built has been protected by a prefectoral decree and is now owned by the Department of the Gironde.
The Little Egret nest in colonies. If you come from the end of April to June, you may watch and above all hear this noisy colony and observe the adult birds come and go. Please do not step over the ditch so as not to disturb the birds.
All along the year you will enjoy walking at the Suzette beach and even swim. I can only recommend to rest a while on the benches in front of the sea, though the cache is not there, because you will have a great view of beautiful sunsets.
