This should be fairly easy.
Our House--a three-story brick tavern in the Federal style--was built in Gallipolis by Henry Cushing in 1819. The tavern boasted (in addition to its taproom, dining room, and other usual facilities), a large ballroom for social functions. On 22 May 1825, General Lafayette visited Gallipolis and was entertained at Our House Tavern. Gallipolis still celebrates Lafayette's visit with a ceremony each spring. The Cushing family owned and operated Our House until 1865. The tavern today has period furnishings that take visitors back to the early 19th century when Henry Cushing would go to the boat landing and called "Come up to Our House" to travel-weary new arrivals in this early Ohio River town. Step into the garden, sit and have a rest. The gate is not locked. Favorite Points are appreciated. Please be respectful of this beautiful Garden. Do not disturb the plants, we want this cache to remain here for years to come. The cache and container was placed by the caretakers. Nice container with room for swag. This would be a great Travel Bug Rest Area.
