Piazza del Risorgimento si trova nel Rione Prati, a due passi dalla Città del Vaticano e al confine con il Rione Borgo . E' un quartiere molto frequentato e non soltanto dai turisti, visto he si tratta di una zona di passaggio per molti romani. In piazza ci sono caffè e gelaterie, tipici di Roma! E' un luogo sempre pieno di gente, soprattutto perché si trova accanto alla Città del Vaticano e alla Basilica di San Pietro. La piazza deve il suo nome al monumento del Risorgimento, costruito in onore dell'unificazione d'Italia.
Nel lato sud della Piazza si possono ammirare le mura di Pio IV, dominate, sullo sfondo, dalla cupola della Basilica di San Pietro, mentre nel lato nord si snoda la commerciale Via Ottaviano
Al numero civico 46 della piazza si trova una palazzina che ospita il Museo storica dell'Arma dei Carabinieri.
Piazza del Risorgimento is in the Rione Prati, near the Vatican and the Rione Borgo. It's a popular district, not only for tourists, since it's a passage zone for many Romans. In the square there are cafes and ice cream bars, very typical of Rome! It's a place packed with people, especially because it is next to the Vatican City and the St. Peter's Basilica. The square has this name because of the Renaissance monument, built in honor of the unification of Italy. On the south side of the square you can admire the Vatican walls by Pius IV, dominated, in the background, from the dome of St. Peter's Basilica, while on the north side runs Via Ottaviano, with its shops. Es ist ein Ort voller Menschen, vor allem weil es neben dem Vatikan und dem Petersdom ist. Der Platz verdankt seinen Namen dank dem Renaissance Denkmal, errichtet für die Vereinigung Italiens. Auf der Südseite des Platzes können Sie die Wände von Pius IV sehen, dominiert in den Hintergrund, von der Kuppel des Petersdoms, während auf der Nordseite liegt die kommerzielle Via Ottaviano. Am Nummer 46 des Platzes liegt ein historisches Gebäude, das Historische Museum der Carabinieri.
