Geocache Description:

A public trail suited for bicycling, hiking, walking, baby strollers, and more. Perfectly graded with a hard-packed sandy surface that commences on North Magnolia Avenue in Santee, California and connects to the Lakeside River Trail system. Park along Magnolia Avenue just north of the trail entrance.

Santee offers this new segment of the eventual San Diego County mountain-to-sea trail system. Several informational and historic displays are provided along the way as well as a shaded picnic table with benches to sit and rest upon. The trail surface is wide, flat, and uniform all the way over to the Lakeside River Trail System. The trail passes by a large pond; however, a peeler-log fence limits access to pond and riverbed attractions.
