Simple nano cache. St Marys Church, Little Birch,
Little Birch Church is situated on private land and permission to visit this church be sought from the owners of Birch Hall. This church was in regular use until 1598 and despite efforts to get the church to be used it had become ruinous, without a roof, by 1768. Considering this church has not been in regular use for over 300 years, it is in a fair condition. By a quirt, it is likely to outlive the Victorian Church in Great Birch, which has been earmarked for demolition. (Note: along the small access road to the engineering company there is a small path off to the right which leads to the old church for those that would like a glimpse of this sad church!)
