Situé dans le centre-ville d'Andernos, le parc « Louis-David » a été acquis par la municipalité en 1976 puis ouvert au public.
Cet ensemble, outre le parc où on peut admirer quelques très beaux arbres anciens, comprend la villa Ignota et, un peu à l'écart, la tombe de Louis David, ornée d'une sculpture de Raymond Delamarre.
La villa Ignota, désormais « Maison Louis David », accueille tout au long de l'année de nombreuses expositions de peinture et d'arts plastiques.
Louis Théodore David, maire d'Andernos de 1900 à 1929 et sénateur de la Gironde de 1920 à 1924 consacra une grand part de son activité à sa commune d'Andernos, qui n'était alors qu'un village de pêcheurs. Il réussit à en faire une station balnéaire prospère.
La villa Ignota a longtemps été le lieu de rencontre de célébrités politiques (Aristide Briand, Georges Leygues) artistiques (Henri Cain, Edmond Rostand, Sarah Bernhardt) et du monde des affaires (Robert Easthope).
Le jardin abrite les restes d'un petit bâtiment en garluche, une pierre ferrugineuse locale comportant de nombreuses cavités. Il s'agit de l'ancien poulailler de la propriété.

Located in the center of the town of Andernos, the « Louis David » park is opened to the public since it was bought by the municipality in 1976.
It includes, together with some beautiful old trees, the former « Villa Ignota », now called « Maison Louis David » and Louis David's grave, decorated with a sculpture by Raymond Delamarre.
The Maison Louis David hosts painting and arts exhibitions all along the year.
Louis Théodore David was mayor of Andernos from 1900 to 1929 and senator of the Gironde. He dedicated himself to the development of the town of Andernos, which was at the time just a small fishing village. He managed to transform it into a thriving sea resort.
The then Villa Ignota was a meeting place for celebrities of that time in politics (Aristide Briand, Georges Leygues), arts (Henri Cain, Edmond Rostand, Sarah Bernhardt) and business (Robert Easthope).
The garden houses the remains of a small building in garluche, a local ferruginous stone with many cavities. This is the old barn on the property. Small cache, no pen inside
