Welcome to The Port of Longyearbyen
Maritime traffic in Svalbard's waters has become relatively important in summer season with small ships operating from Longyearbyen and large cruise vessels visiting Longyearbyen and other ports and fjords on Spitsbergen and the archipelago.
The Port of Longyearbyen is the logistic point for cargo and cruise traffic to the different aeras on Svalbard and the cruise activity. The port is located between Longyearbyen and the airport, close to the city centre.
Longyearbyen is the starting point for day trips to the local fjords or longer journeys to the West coast of Spitsbergen and around the Svalbard archipelago.
